Academic Excellence for ICAR Nodal Officers of SAUs

A 4-day training programme organised by ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad, for the ICAR Nodal Officers at Agricultural Universities, from 28th - 31st May 2024, concluded today. The training programme aimed to improve the efficiency of the Indian Agricultural Education System through robust linkages and interfaces between ICAR and Agricultural Universities.

Dr. R.C. Agrawal, Deputy Director General (Education), ICAR, highlighted the crucial role of nodal officers in the agricultural education system and emphasized the need for a single point of contact at ICAR for better coordination.

Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM, accentuated the need for capacity-building programmes to strengthen the nodal officers with all skill sets for the strong interface between SAUs-ICAR and thereby focusing on the agricultural education system of the country.

During the training, the participants were exposed to different functional and behavioural competencies leading to individual and organisational effectiveness.

A total of 31 participants from 27 SAUs/DUs attended the training programme.
