  1. May 08, 1998. The Centre started fuctioning with the joining of its first Director Dr. R.Deb Roy.
  2. Feb. 03, 1990. The Centre organised National Workshop on MPTS for Agroforestry.
  3. April 02-14, 1990. The Centre organised Indo-US Workshop-cum training in Agroforestry Models using System Analysis Methodologies.
  4. March 12-13, 1993. The Centre organised National Seminar on Agroforestry in 2000 A.D. for the Arid and Semi-arid Tropics.
  5. June 13-27 1995. The Centre organised National Seminar on Agroforestry for Higher Crop, Biomass and Soil Productivity for the bundelkhand region.
  6. Dec. 30, 1995. Dr. K.R.Solanki joined as the Director.
  7. April 1, 1997. The headquarter of All India Co-ordinated Research Project on Agroforestry shifted from ICAR, New Delhi to NRCAF, Jhansi.
  8. June 04-13, 1997. Then Centre organised short course on Recent Advances in Agroforestry and its Role in Conservation of Soil, Water and Bio-diversity.
  9. July 11-13, 1998. The Centre organised National Symposium on Multipurpose Tree Species for Agroforestry Systems.
  10. June 21-30, 1998. The Centre organised short course on Sustainable Rehabilitation of Degraded Lands through Agroforestry.
  11. Sep. 12-14, 2000. The Centre organised National Symposium in Hindi on Sustainable Mangement of Natural Resources through Agroforestry.
  12. April 9-June 8, 2002. The centre organised training programme on Agriclinics and Agribusiness Centres for Agricultural Graduates.
  13. Nov. 7-9, 2003. The Centre organised National Symposium on "Agroforestry and Sustainable Production".
  14. March 23-April 16, 2005. The centre organised training programme on "Cultivation of Jatropha and Karanj".
  15. March 30-May 28, 2005. The Centre organised 4th training programme on "Agriclinics and Agribusiness Centres".
Agriclinics and Agribusiness Scheme

The Ministry of Agriculture, GoI, in association with NABARD, has launched a unique programme to take better methods of farming to each and every farmer across the country.This programme aims to tap the expertise available in the large pool of Agriculture Graduates. Whether you are a fresh graduate or not, or whether you are employed or not, you can set up your own Agriclinics and Agribusiness Centre and offer professional extension services to innumerable farmers. Committed to this programme, the government is now providing start-up training to graduates in Agriculture, or any subject allied to Agriculture like Horticulture, Sericulture, Veterinary Sciences, Fisheries, Forestry, Poultry Farming. Those completing the training can apply for special start-up loans for the venture.
