The Open Access policy of ICAR for Agricultural Research Information gets international compliments as a motivational success story of agriculture information exchange at global level. Asia-Pacific Association for Agricultural Research Institutions (APAARI) and Global Forum on Agricultural Research (GFAR) has shortlisted the initiative as a success story, “Open Access of Research in ICAR Makes Indian Research Global”, to improve ICT/ICM for knowledge sharing.
With four research journals (The Indian Journal of Agricultural Sciences, The Indian Journal of Animal Sciences, Indian Journal of Fisheries and Journal of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants) on the open access platform, the articles are being downloaded/viewed in 172 countries across the globe and received articles for publication from over 50 countries.
