Monitoring & Evaluation:
For each project, there will be an internal Advisory Committee consisting of 2-3 eminent external experts and the head of the lead institution, the PI and the lead scientist from the partner institutions and the senior most administrative and finance officers of the lead institution as the ex-officio members. One of the external experts will be the Chairman and the PI will be the member secretary. The Committee will be formed on the basis of suggestions of the PI and approval of the competent approving committee (Expert Committees or the EC). The Advisory Committee will review the progress on half yearly basis (more frequently whenever essential) and provide advice to the PI and help in steering the project to a successful conclusion. The National Coordinator or any representative of the secretariat may participate in the Advisory Committee meetings as a member and may visit the project sites whenever possible. The reports of the Advisory Committee will be sent to the Secretariat for scrutiny and follow-up. The PI will also send half yearly financial and technical reports to the Dir (Finance) and the National Coordinator respectively. Major evaluation of overall progress of the projects under the Fund will be done at the annual national seminars chaired by the Chairman of the EC and will be attended by respective Chairmen of the Expert Committees, the EC Members, and a representative members of the Chairmen of the Advisory Committees. An Annual Report of each project is to be submitted in the prescribed format. Web based monitoring system may also be developed.
