Budget & Finance:
In general the following components of expenditure will be considered for funding.
- Goods & equipments
- Capacity building
- Renovation of laboratories and construction for housing new equipment/plants (in absolutely essential cases and the cost will not exceed 5% of the total project cost.)
- TA/DA
- Workshops /meetings
- Cost for participation in workshops and seminars within the country and abroad in areas relevant to the project
- Contractual staff like RA/SRF coterminous with the respective project
- Operational costs
- Institutional charges (10% for the lead institution and 5% for the partner institutions)
The detailed proforma for budget will be included in the proforma for full proposal.
The financial limits for the approved projects will depend on the nature of the project and will be decided by the competent approving committees but will not exceed Rs. 50 crore for a project.
The financial and procurement rules to be followed will be conveyed along with the project sanction letter.
