ICAR New Delhi will conduct the 10^th All India Entrance Examination for filling up 15% of the seats in State Agricultural Universities (SAUs) and Central Agricultural University (CAU) in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Horticulture, Fisheries Science, Forestry, Home Science, Sericulture, Dairy Technology, Food Science & Technology and Agricultural Marketing Banking & Co-operation and also to fill all the seats at National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Karnal.

Scheme of Examination: There will be one question paper consisting of objective type questions in Physics, Chemistry and Agriculture/ Biology for STREAM – “A” and Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for STREAM – “B” as per eligibility and choice of the subjects as defined in Information Bulletin. The question paper will be bilingual i.e. ENGLISH and HINDI.

Reservation of Seats: There would be reservation of seats to the extent 15% for Scheduled Castes, 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes and 3% for Physically Handicapped candidates in all subjects.

Eligibility: The candidate should be an Indian national, and must be at least 17 years of age but not more than 23 years on or before 31.12.2005. No relaxation of age will be allowed to any candidate. He/ she must have passed and obtained not less than 60% marks (for General Category) and 50% marks (for SC/ST/PH category) in PCA/ PCB/ PCM combinations in 10+2 or its equivalent examination. He/ she should have studied English as a subject at 10+2 level and should have passed or secured minimum of 33% marks in English. Any candidate having compartment/ supplementary in any subject in the qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 or failing in English is not eligible. Candidates should have passed Physics, Chemistry and Agriculture/ Biology/ Home Science/ Mathematics subjects separately and mentioned clearly in the marks sheet in 10+2 or equivalent examination. One who has appeared or due to appear in 10+2 examination in the year 2005 can also appear in this test subject to his/ her producing 10+2 passing certificate on the date of Counseling with above conditions of subjects and marks.

National Talent Scholarship (NTS): NTS @ Rs. 800/- per month shall be awarded to meritorious candidates based on this Examination in all the ten subjects of graduation provided the candidate takes admission in any Institution not falling in his/ her own home state.
