ICAR-National Academy of Agricultural Research Management, Hyderabad organised an ICAR sponsored 21-day winter school programme on “Advanced Analytics in Developing Market Intelligence” from 14th November to 04th December 2017.
Prof. P.G.Chengappa, Former Vice-Chancellor, UAS Bengaluru and Independent Director of Tata Coffee Ltd. was Chief Guest of the valedictory event. He reiterated the need for commissioning market intelligence cell in State Agricultural Universities /ICAR institutes in every state to guide the farmers to take calculated risk. He also stressed that the participants should share the knowledge gained with the students at their respective institutions.
Dr. Ch. Srinivasa Rao, Director, ICAR-NAARM urged the participants to employ the learnings of this programme in their research work and to communicate the feedback to ICAR-NAARM.
In addition to the in-house faculty, guest speakers from various organizations such as NCDEX, NeML, TCS, NABARD and TNAU shared the successful cases in market intelligence.
This programme was attended by 19 participants from various states of the country where they learnt various advanced tools and techniques employed in developing quality market intelligence.
