Instructions to Candidates for applying to FAO vacencies

The candidates who have put in more than five years' regular service and not held any foreign assignment of the duration of more than six months during the last two years and are clear from vigilence/administrative (disciplinary) angles are eligible to apply for the FAO notified vacancies/positions and their applications can be sent by the Institutes on the prescribed FAO's Personal History Form (specimen already with the Institutes) to the FAO headquarters, rome, Italy, directly after getting the requisite clearances i.e. cadre, administrative and vigilance. Simultaneously the Institute has to approach this Department with a duplicate copy of application and revised check-list in respect of the scientist in whose case the institute has forwarded the application of the scientists t oFAO, Rome, Italy directly against the notified FAO's vacancy announcement, for obtaining the Department's "NO OBJECTION", for applying direct in view of the DOPT's instructions No.8.11 circulated to all the ICAR Research Institutes vide this Department's letter No.1-49/2002-IC.II dated 4th October, 2002. These instructions will also be applicable for future cases of FAO's notified vacancies announcements by this Department. Copy of the revised Check-List (marked Check-List-II) may be annexed to this Department's Office Memorandum No.4-2/2002-IC.I 8thSeptember, 2004 may be downloaded from the DARE's website."

However the acceptance of the assignment on final selection by FAO will be subject to clearance and "No Objection " from DARE/ Ministry of Agriculture. A copy each of FAO Personal History (PH) form, Annexure - I and Check List have already been supplied to the Institutes on earlier occasions, in this regard, for necessary action.
